Course Overview

This course is designed for those who need a practical hands-on approach to managing projects, without it getting “heavy”. It covers all aspects of a project’s life cycle, from the project start-up sequence, application of monitoring & control to keep it on-track, and includes the activities required to close a project. Whilst the majority of the course deals with project management structure, aspects of managing the people on projects are included through team activities. Delegates are encouraged to think about their actual projects during the course and they have to opportunity to apply useful tools to a project of their choice.

This Practical Project Management (2 day course) course is available throughout the UK.

Testimonials

Brilliant course, well delivered, extremely informative, some realy great key skills learnt.

Stuart Nisbet, Tugo Food Systems

Course delivered virtually

Barry made a two-day online project management course enjoyable, entertaining and informative. He had a relaxed approach, but we also covered a lot of topics and learnt a lot.

There was room for relating relevant experiences both personal and professional, and the level of interaction (tasks set to be completed etc) was good.

I now look forward to my future big projects with much more confidence, knowing I have more capability to plan out the work to be completed (most important!) and keep track of everything during the project.

Phil Mumby, Royal Zoological Society of Scotland

I enjoyed Malcolm's approach to the training.  Informal and eager to find examples from the group that helped with exploring and identifying the tools that could be used to support project management.

Katrina Davidson, TUV SUD National Engineering

Practical course confidently delivered by Ian with a wealth of anecdotal examples and ideas. Successfully demonstrating that Project Management is not a one-size fits all template but very much relies on adapting the core principles to suit your specific business environment.

Great course, I am a reflective learner and can be generally quite in courses, but the balance of interaction was good. Definitely gave me a lot to learn, take away and reflect upon.
